Private Bungalows are comfortable with private tiled bath with hot water, bamboo canopy bed with mosquito netting and a set of bunk beds, all are furnished with local art, bamboo and local hardwoods, tables and chairs inside as well as private deck outside. All have a stocked mini bar, refrigerator, coffee maker, safety deposit box, radio/alarm clock, fans, Bungalows are spaced out for privacy and connected by elevated wooden walkways throughout the jungle ravine. The wooden bridges are punctuated by observatory terraces to enjoy bird watching and relaxing in the shade.

The popular third floor Tree House Cabina enjoys an awesome view of the scarlet macaws in the wild almonds, our 100 acre private reserve botanical gardens and ocean view, from the new out door terrace. Also features coffee maker, common living area, two separate bedrooms- one with two single beds and one with a double bed, fans, private bath room, furnished with local art and hardwoods.

We also offer 5 Standard Rooms located in the main lodge. All standard rooms feature private bath, fan, bamboo canopy bed with mosquito netting, desk and chair, closet, and terraces overlooking botanical gardens.

One large standard room with large tiled bath, hot water shower/tub surround, fans, one double bed and a set of bunk beds with mosquito netting sleeping up to 4 with a front deck to observe the botanical gardens.

RAINFOREST BAR & GRILL

You can order from our daily menu or enjoy a tropical buffet and we have a lot of vegan and vegetarian fares as well as seafood dishes and bar b que items. We specialize in serving international and local dishes prepared with fresh exotic organic fruits, veggies and nuts and local sea foods. Breakfasts are chosen from a 5 option menu, lunches are chosen from daily specials when not on tours, and dinners are served with appetizers, entree and dessert. All meals are served with fresh fruit juices, delicious Costa Rican coffee and medicinal teas. Many of the organic products are harvested from our botanical gardens surrounding the lodge. We use medicinal jungle ingredients to enhance your rejuventation during your stay with us! Try traditional dishes prepared by our local staff for a true cultural experience too!
Our new dining terraces are nestled into the jungle ravine The atmosphere creates a genuine jungle experience with the exotic sights, sounds & aromas of the rainforest. We have planted many exotic fruits surrounding the restaurant and are often joined by our jungle friends while dining. Kinkajous, monkeys, pizotes, tayra and lots of butterflies and birds are among our frequent guests!
In the evening enjoy dining with candlelight and torches. Here you will meet the locals and enjoy a cultural experience in this enchanting pueblo of Los Planes or as we affectionately call it the Lost Planet!

HOW TO GET THERE:
Drive directly to our lodge. We are located right on the new road into Drake Bay from the central beach 4 kilometers inland and we provide free parking during your stay with us. You can arrive in 4 x 4 taxis from the beach to the jungle reserve in just a few minutes. It's an adventure just getting to our lodge! Enjoy 4 wheeling.
Palmar Sur Airport Transfer $70 (Round trip per/person)
You can fly from San Jose to Pal Mar Sur airport with Sansa or Naturair. There a taxi will take you through the banana plantation to the sleepy river port of Sierpe. Here you will board a launch to tour through the mangrove swamp reserve of the Sierpe River and into the Pacific Ocean. After a beach landing in central Drake Bay a taxi will take you to our lodge
Drake Bay Airport Transfer $40 (Round trip per/person) You can also fly directly into the Drake Bay airstrip with Sansa or Naturair where a taxi will await you to take you from the directly to our lodge.
